Preliminary Enrollment for Prairie Hawks Preschool, Kindergarten, and AK is now open!
If your child will be 4 years old by September 15, 2022, they are eligible to enroll in preschool for the 2022-2023 school year.
If your child will be 5 years old by September 15, 2022, they are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten or AK for the 2022-2023 school year.

Prairie Hawks Preschool
Preschool programs are located within College Community Schools’ ECC, Prairie Hill, Prairie Heights, Prairie Crest, Prairie View, and Prairie Ridge. Half day programming is available Tuesday – Friday.
To accommodate family needs, wrap-around care is available for a fee from 6:30am – 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Your child will attend preschool and wrap-around care in the same school.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten is available at all schools. The district office determines building placements for all incoming kindergarten students. College Community’s central campus allows us to balance both the student demographics and resources to the benefit of all children.

Preliminary Kindergarten Registration
Alternative Kindergarten (AK)
The College Community School District offers the program Alternative Kindergarten for students whose parents feel they are not ready for the full day kindergarten program and wish to retain them for a year before entering Kindergarten.
Due to a limited number of openings, not all AK requests will be granted. Students work on a variety of skills, including academics, such as numbers and letters, and listening skills. AK is divided into two half-day sections; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. AK students must be 5 years old by September 15, 2022.
